1.1 GW 8-reactor Nuclear Plant - Efficient v4.1
This is a rock solid design that is self-priming. Just build it and supply fuel and it will start working. Circuit is based on a timer that prevents feeding fuel more often than it takes to burn it, as well as a steam threshold. The BP is set to refill at 20K steam (measured at 2 tanks, so 20K of 50K or 40%). There are no alarms. There are 192 of the 193 (calculated ideal) turbines so it tends to keep a head of steam. Interior circuit is powered by solar, so it is brown-out resistant. Hook up the power to the SR switch at the bottom of the image shown, and hook up logistics to the same area (1 roboport included for operations. You'll need one more at the top of the image to help build out but not necessary for operations) This includes an S/R switch to make efficient use of solar accumlator power at night. ===== updates below! ===== Update v4.1 2019-01-07: Removed a rogue track tile and an electrical energy interface I was using for testing. Also added an SR switch configured to offline the power when not needed. Remove it if you want this connected and not to use solar accumulators when possible. Also optimized the internal solar power (made it possible to walk all the way through the center without blocking). Removed one roboport that was inside the internal power circuit, only needed for build and not needed for operations. Update v4.0 2018-07-21: Made it 2 tiles skinnier, reducing the heat pipe runs by one tile length. Update v3.2 2018-07-21 Fixed bad green wire (steam measurement). Update v3.1 2018-07-21: Error in blueprint, removed 2 pipes blocking spent fuel extraction.
