Tileable Beacon Array Advanced Oil Processing
Tileable Advanced Oil Processing for maximum productivity module output. So I'd been looking for an omnidirectional tileable beaconed blueprint for Advanced Oil processing for a while. As those who use beacons extensively know, the best way to use them is in an array where each beacon is affecting 8 assembly machines, and each assembly machine is affected by 8 beacons. This is the way to achieve the highest possible module efficiency (the least modules and least machines for the most productivity), and therefore fastest return on investment. Doing this for refineries is exceedingly difficult, and I'm proud of my design. This design has each beacon affecting either 6 5 or 4 refineries, and each refinery is affected by either 7 or 8 beacons. The beacons that aren't already there are the more important ones, but I'm, not sure how they would tile, as they're different sizes from the refinery. Just make sure that the first beacon placed on either side is just barely affecting both refineries on either side of the beacon line. Using speed module 1s and production module 2s, each set of 8 refineries can handle up to ~350 oil a second, or 3500% total oil. I have not tested the maximum length, but it is at least 64 refineries long. If you remove light oil from both sides, and input water from both sides, I expect you could go significantly longer. I think in almost every reasonable situation, this blueprint will process all oil for all time :).
