Artillery Defense For Brian's Trains
UPDATE: Updated for v2.0. The re-supply logic could use improvements to be faster, but it should still work in all cases. This is a mid-game to late-game **outpost defense** with **automatic re-supply** that can withstand anything thrown at it on Nauvis. I've used this in many games, it never failed and it's extremely simple to setup. ##### Screenshots Defense in action and the result . Supplier 1. Build the **Supplier** where logistic robots can satisfy the requests. 2. Switch the train to **Automatic**. * The train is fueled by nuclear fuel by default, don't hesitate to switch that if you don't have it yet. 3. Build the **Defense** outposts with your robots * This is chunk-aligned with Brian's Trains , that I highly recommend. * I suggest you try Logistics Request Manager to save your logistics requests. ##### Other information * The outposts will automatically unload construction and logistics robots, fill the flamethrowers, and lastly supply the artillery. This way your base is ready to defend itself before the artillery starts to aggro everything around it. * The supply train will also remove unused items from the defense, such as trees, empty barrels, etc. Basically anything that is not requested. * Important : As long as you clear any biter nests touching your pollution cloud, no biters will try to enter your base. So build a bunch of these at the edge of your pollution cloud or further, it will clear any biters around and allow you to build without adding walls around your actual base. This is how this defense has to be used, push away from your base and clear the biter spawners. * The light signals in the **Defense**: * Supplied * Needs supplies * Supplies on the way * You can build more than one supplier if necessary. * The walls are inspired by this blueprint .
